 This is my Story

Having grown up in Russia, then being sent to a boarding school in England at the age of 11, I have always dreamed of being a fashion designer. 

Even after graduating with a Textile Design Degree from Central Saint Martins University in London, my dream didn't come true. I found myself working several part-time jobs just to survive. 

Overworked, underpaid and feeling hopeless, I reluctantly agreed with my father to follow a "serious" career. For the next 10 years of my life I studied and worked as a lawyer, qualifying as a family law solicitor. 

It wasn't until 2019 that I discovered macrame, while still working as a lawyer. 

In 2020, while on maternity leave, I made a life transforming decision and registered my own fashion company. Through experiments, challenges and most importantly, through finally following my dreams, I created VIITTA HOUSE.   

VIITTA HOUSE is a macrame school where anyone can learn the transformative power of mindful creation. With online and offline macrame courses, worldwide macrame and yoga retreats, anyone can unlock their creative potential and start enjoying life like never before.
